Refund & Cancellation Policy

No traps, no lock-in, no cancellation fees. This page tells you exactly what happens to your money in every situation. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. The short version

2. Founder Session — €295, one-off

2.1 Before the session

You may cancel or reschedule a Founder Session at any time up to 48 hours before the agreed start time. Cancel and you get a full refund. Reschedule and there is no charge and no limit on how many times you do it, within reason.

2.2 Inside 48 hours

A session cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice — or a session you simply do not attend — is treated as delivered and is not refundable. The 90 minutes were held exclusively for you and cannot be given to anyone else at that notice.

If something genuinely serious happens — illness, a family emergency, a crisis inside your company — tell us. We are people, not a policy engine. We will almost always move the session.

2.3 After the session

Because a Founder Session is a live service that is fully performed the moment it ends, it is not refundable once delivered.

That said: if you attend and feel the session did not deliver what was promised, email us within 7 days explaining why. We will either give you a second session at no charge or refund you. We will not argue about it. If we did not add value, we have not earned the fee.

3. Founder Office — €2,500 per month

3.1 How the billing works

  • Billed monthly in advance.
  • Your subscription renews automatically every month, on the same day of the month as your first payment.
  • Your saved payment method is charged automatically on each renewal date.
  • No minimum term. No lock-in. No cancellation fee.
  • You will receive a receipt by email for every payment.

3.2 Cancelling

You may cancel at any time, for any reason, with no notice period. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep full access — WhatsApp, calls, introductions — until the end of the month you have already paid for.

3.3 No partial-month refunds

The month you are currently in is not refunded pro rata. The fee buys a seat and the availability that comes with it for that month, whether or not you use every call. Unused biweekly calls do not roll over into the following month.

3.4 The first month

If, within 14 days of your first ever Founder Office payment, you conclude this is not right for you, tell us and we will refund that first month in full — regardless of what has already happened between us. We would rather return €2,500 than hold a founder in a relationship that is not working.

This applies once, to the first month of your first subscription only.

4. How to cancel

Either of these works, and both take effect immediately:

  • Email robain@robandtheyoung.com with the word "cancel". No reason required, no retention call, no friction.
  • Use the cancellation or billing-management link included in every payment receipt we send you.

We will confirm your cancellation in writing within one working day and tell you the exact date your access ends. If you do not get that confirmation, chase us — do not assume the cancellation failed to register.

5. Consumer right of withdrawal (14 days)

This section applies only if you are buying as a consumer — a private individual acting outside any trade, business or profession. Our services are designed for businesses, but if you are a consumer, these statutory rights apply and nothing in this policy takes them away.

Under Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU you have 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without giving a reason and without penalty.

To withdraw, email robain@robandtheyoung.com with a clear statement that you are withdrawing. No form is needed. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving it, using the same payment method you used.

Two important exceptions:

  • If you ask us to start the service during the 14-day period, and we do, you will owe a proportionate amount for what was actually provided if you then withdraw.
  • Once the service has been fully performed — for example, you have attended your Founder Session — with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal on full performance, the right no longer applies.

6. If we end the engagement

We may end a Founder Office engagement on 30 days' notice if we conclude we can no longer add real value, if a conflict of interest arises, or if our capacity changes. If we do, you receive a pro-rata refund of any period you have paid for but not received.

If we decline your application after taking payment, you get a full refund immediately.

The exception is termination for cause — non-payment, breach of our terms, resale of your seat, or abusive conduct. In those cases no refund is due. See section 14 of the Terms of Service.

7. How refunds are paid

  • Refunds go back to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
  • We issue refunds within 5 working days of approving them.
  • Your bank or card issuer then typically takes a further 5 to 10 working days to show the money in your account. That part is outside our control.
  • Refunds are issued in euros (EUR), for the amount originally charged. If your card was billed in another currency, your bank's exchange rate on the refund date may differ from the rate on the purchase date. We cannot compensate for that difference.
  • Where VAT was charged, it is refunded with the fee.

8. Failed payments

If a subscription payment fails, our payment processor will automatically retry it over the following days and we will email you. Your access continues during that window.

If payment has not succeeded after 14 days, we may suspend access and release your seat. Seats are limited, and we cannot hold one open indefinitely. You are welcome to reapply.

9. Disputes and chargebacks

Please talk to us first. Email robain@robandtheyoung.com and we will respond within two working days. Almost every billing problem is a misunderstanding and is resolved in one message.

Raising a chargeback with your bank before contacting us costs both of us time and money, and we will contest chargebacks for services that were properly delivered and are documented. We would much rather refund you directly than fight your bank.
